Barnsley has a lot to offer everyone who lives and works here. We’ve a vibrant town centre, with a cosmopolitan mix of cafés, theatres, museums, art galleries and hotels.
Our sports and leisure facilities are also superb. Or, if shopping’s more your thing, then you’ll find plenty of high street stores and of course, our famous 700 year old market, open five days a week.
The town’s also in the midst of a major re-development project, ‘Remaking Barnsley’. It’ll create a unique 21st century market town, in turn, creating even more retail and leisure facilities.
